Pixel for Pixel, Text by Text, Stories that last for 24 hours, Instagram doesn’t seems to have gone wrong in “Copying” a concept which we all know is owned by Snapchat! Although they don’t deny that, Instagram CEO Kevin Strosum admitted “They deserve all the credit” (‘they’ refers to snapchat here), reported by Techcrunch.com.

What’s up Mark? – First you copy Twitter by including features like “Trending Topics” and Hashtags on Facebook exactly what Twitter introduced. And while a lot of us knew it was coming, the Snapchat concept seems to have been blatantly copied by Instagram. Mark Zuckerberg shared a post on Facebook yesterday, which said – “We’re launching Instagram Stories today” and the only reaction was that it sounds similar to – you guessed it! – Snapchat Stories- oh! Snapchat, did they just copy you??!!

Not that Instagram Stories has anything going wrong for them but the strikingly similar format is hard to ignore. It is certainly a better plan to avoid the Insta feed getting all cluttered with people sharing their day-in and day-out activities on Insta and the over sharing of pictures – seriously, no one is really interested in all the food you eat and post on your news feed – Insta seems to lack the creativity here.

Introducing Instagram Stories from Instagram on Vimeo.

Instagram Stories will allow people to balance between random uploads to more inspirational and fun uploads through visual means – an awesome slideshow giving a new way to people to share their own personal story with the world, depending on your privacy settings, though. Instagram’s latest update was out on 2nd August, that is, just today in IST time format and just like on snapchat you can’t comment or like the post on Insta stories but it allows the users to reply to them directly.

The only thing which Insta lacks and Snapchat has to its advantage are those super addictive animated Snapchat filters and stickers, which might also well be on their way to getting copied by Insta soon!

And oh! The discover Channels? The stories around the world? Will they copy all that too? – Find out all that have they taken from Snapchat, if you don’t have your top left corner blinking with a plus sign, get the latest Instagram update on your phone now to know more!
