Actress Kate Bosworth has collaborated with retail chain American Rag Cie and a former President of Gemstar-TV Guide Interactive to launch the mobile app, Style Thief. Sam Russ, daughter of co-owner of American Rag created the app. Style Thief’s tagline is Snap & Steal as it allow users to snap a photo of an outfit they would like to purchase. The fashion pieces are searched via retail outlets in order to hopefully, have the user purchase them.

Sam Russ stated, “You don’t need to go through a social interface in order to take a picture of a top that you want to buy later on. Down the line, you’ll be able to share, you’ll be able to like and you’ll be able to see user reviews for items.”
