While Dior is still on a hunt for its new Creative Director after Raf Simons’ exit, a new collaboration is on its way with our very favourite BadGirlRiRi!

“She is an artist, an entertainer, an entrepreneur, a philanthropist, and a style icon for today’s generation,” said Dior Chief Executive Officer Sidney Toledano on teaming up with Rihanna.

Rihanna, the brand ambassador of Dior, is set to launch a new collection of futuristic sunglasses – ‘Rihanna’ as the name is enough! Right? (Yes, of course!)

“The process was pretty seamless. I spent a day at Dior with their eyewear design team. I started by looking through all the archives to see what they’ve done in the past, then got acquainted with all the new materials. I literally sat there and drew and drew until I was happy with the design, and the team illustrated it for me right then and there. We picked materials and colours that same day, and after that it was a matter of weeks before I saw the first prototype,” said Rihanna.

What’s confirmed is that this collection will be heavy on our pockets but who cares when what you can own is the baby of the enigmatic singer and DIOR!! The sunglasses will be out in six colours – silver, pink, blue, green, red, and a 24-karat gold, which will cost US $ 1,940. The rest of them can be bought for US $ 840 which is not the most affordable range but I bet you’ll save for it!

The sunglasses will be sold exclusively at Dior stores beginning early June, not much time to wait… Though Rihanna has been showing them off on her Instagram account!
