Harry Potter Is Back!
Harry Potter Is Back!
It’s been ages that we bid adieu to Harry Potter, our favourite character from childhood with a heavy heart, but here’s some comeback news! JK Rowling is back with ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’, which has already established popularity among fans who have had the chance to preview the two-part play. Be it in any form-a movie, a book or even a script, Harry Potter has succeeded in winning many hearts!
Also, the script of the West End play has managed to break Barnes & Noble’s record for the most pre-ordered book, previously held by the seventh (and final) Harry Potter installment, which came out in 2007. It has also broken Amazon records for the same.
The Cursed Child script will be released for sale on Sunday, July 31 at midnight; this ‘Special Rehearsal Edition’ of the Cursed Child book features the rehearsal script for the London play, written by Jack Thorne. Set 19 years after the ending of Deathly Hallows, the series’ final book – follows the wizard, now a father of three working for the Ministry of Magic and will be a great read for the fans of Harry Potter.
An official plot description reads: “While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.”
Also, last year, J.K Rowling had clarified, “I’ve had countless offers to extend Harry’s story over the years, but Jack, John and [producer] Sonia Friedman are a dream team! It has been a huge pleasure to share with them (and soon, with you!) this untold part of Harry’s story.” Adding, “I am confident that when audiences see the play, they will agree that it was the only proper medium for the story.”
Is it not a dream come true and a pleasant development for those who had shed tears in the last Harry Potter movie and were sad to say goodbye? Well, then this is a chance to make oneself happy and pre- book the script!
